My passion has always been in helping others. In 2001, I launched my career as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

In 2012 I became principal of Financial Destinations Group. I am proud to lead our dynamic team. Our success has been in helping families and business achieve clarity and their financial goals.

As a CFP, I'm committed to maintaining a high level of financial knowledge and professional practice standards. I believe in educating clients as our experience demonstrates that informed clients make good decisions.

It is with genuine concern, transparency and trust that I build enduring relationships and create solid financial plans that help clients achieve financial security and the future for which they have planned. I love and value my own family and recognize the importance of protecting and planning for the future.

Outside of the office, I understand the importance of maintaining life balance. Family, friends, co-workers and clients will tell you that I am a definite ‘yes’ to fun, golf, travel and social gatherings.

I am a Certified Financial Planner with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. I work closely with clients who care about their financial future, and assist them in developing and implementing their own unique financial plans.  

My focus is to provide financial planning services, strategies and products for my clients so they can achieve their goals. I view every client as unique and I approach the financial planning process according to my clients own needs and comfort level.

I have a strong commitment to continuing my education which I believe adds value to my clients. I share this knowledge with my clients so they can make informed decisions, specifically tailored to their situation.

In 2011, a close family member was diagnosed with a debilitating terminal illness. Because of the careful financial planning and risk management measures that had been put in place, we were free to care for our loved one with minimal financial stress.

The financial relief that this afforded us profoundly affected me, and I joined the FDG team as a financial security advisor in November 2014 to help other individuals and families protect their income and plan for their futures.

I have more than 10 years experience in financial services. I was designated as a Chartered Accountant in 2009, and worked as a senior financial analyst specializing in corporate taxation prior to joining FDG. I completed my In Depth Tax course in 2013, and plan to pursue the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation to further enhance the value I provide to clients. Whether individuals or business owners, my background as a tax specialist enables me to assist clients in choosing insurance and investment solutions that keep their current and future tax situations in mind.

I look forward to forming meaningful relationships with clients. I strongly believe that informed clients make good decisions, and am dedicated to educating clients on their investment and insurance options, and will apply my experience and tax knowledge to help them achieve their financial goals.

I found my life’s purpose early on.  At the early age of 13 I assisted my non-English speaking mother purchase her home.  From then on, I found myself eagerly helping people, and focused on education and processes for success.

Having been involved in business and planning for years, a career in financial services was a natural progression for me.  In 2013, I began what would be 4 years at Freedom 55 Financial.  That experience allowed me to shape a vision for my practice and enabled great opportunities to service my clients.  I believe in continuous growth and betterment, and thus have commenced my studies to become Certified Financial Planner.  I also look forward to becoming a Certified Executor Advisor.

My goal is to help you achieve your life goals through sound financial planning, transparent processes, and creative strategies.  Through strong client relationships I endeavor to not only build wealth, but also to protect your family, business, and estate.  I am fluent in 5 languages, and I can share and relate many stories of struggle, perseverance, and success.  Together, we can shape a better outlook for your financial future.

It warms my heart immensely and provides me with enormous satisfaction to know and to see individuals achieving their life’s goals; and it provides me with tremendous gratitude to be able to service my clients and be a part of their journey of life.

I am the newest member of the dynamic FDG team. With over 25 years with London Life, I have provided my clients personalized financial plans encompassing the four cornerstones of a sound financial plan: disability, retirement, liquidity and family security. Each financial plan is tailored to the clients needs, objectives, goals and dreams.


My greatest joy is seeing how these customized financial plans have helped my clients achieve their specific financial goals.

As a Certified Financial Planner, I adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and financial knowledge. I truly believe our job as a CFP is to provide education and clarity to our clients. My hobbies include gardening, travelling, and spending time with my family

I gained valuable skills and knowledge working as an Actuarial Analyst/Associate in top tier insurance and consulting companies in Canada.

Life happened and after 5 years of experience, I decided to get into the business side of things and got into a few entrepreneurial ventures. This exposed me to a variety of financial planning products and services which are necessary for individuals, families and businesses. During the process of learning about financial planning, I came in contact with Financial Destinations Group for my financial needs and was blown away by the professionalism, high level of financial knowledge and outstanding work ethics this firm upholds. In fact, I believed in them so much that I joined the team in February 2017. I am truly very happy to be a part of the team.

I believe that with my knowledge, ethics and experience, I have the right tools to educate clients and help them plan future goals, and provide them with the means to achieve them.

Margaret Charest

I joined the FDG team in 2012 and advise businesses, individuals and families on how to provide protection from “life’s many risks”.

From personal experience, I know that life has a way of taking some unexpected turns. Unfortunate events can happen to anyone and, when they do, a sound financial plan is one thing that can help. Life, disability and critical illness insurance are important options to consider to help protect one’s health and financial security. My goal is for each client to have confidence in answering these questions “If something should happen to me, will my family be OK?” and “Will I ever have enough to retire and how much money do I really need?”

Having built strong relationships with business owners, I love helping companies develop tailored group benefit plans that will help attract and retain quality employees.

Born and raised in Edmonton, I have worked in the media, the mortgage industry and also manage a real estate portfolio.

I am also a connoisseur of fine wine!

Jeannette Massicotte

Office Manager

I joined the FDG team in 2004. After a few years of providing clients with excellent service, I moved to Saskatoon, SK for a short time and returned back to the FDG team in 2012. I enjoy working with the clients I came to know and the new ones that have joined us. 

I have been in the insurance industry since 2004, working in various departments of life, investments and employee group benefits. While in Saskatoon, I obtained my insurance and investments licenses and continue to learn and grow with the team at FDG.

In my down time, I enjoy reading, traveling and time with family and friends.

Barb Rose

Administrative Assistant

I joined the FDG team in August of 2012 bringing 4 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant along with excellent customer service skills. While new to the Insurance Industry I am looking forward to learning and developing relationships with clients as well as the challenges and advancement this industry can bring.  

I enjoy baking, travel and spending time with my friends and family.
